Installation Architectures

This section describes architectures for various sized ObserveIT installations.

Generally, on average, the storage required for each user on daily basis is 100 MB in full recording (metadata and screenshots) and 10 MB in metadata-only recording.

As for sizing, each Application Server can handle 500-750 Concurrent Users (CCU) in full recording (metadata and screenshots) and 2,000-2,500 CCU in metadata-only recording.

Use the following table for installation size.

Small	Up to 300 CCU	All components are installed on the same server (Database, Application Server, Web Console, other services, and storage).
Medium	301 – 3,000 CCU	Multiple Application Servers, a Database with 24 GB of memory and 16 cores, a Web Console, and a single Warm & Hot storage.
Large	3,001 – 10,000 CCU	Multiple Application Servers, a Database with 64-128 GB of memory and 24 cores, a Web Console, a single Warm storage, and multiple Hot storage.
