Configuring Anonymization
Privacy Officers can configure anonymization from the Anonymizing Personal User Information page of the Web Console. This page is accessed via the Configuration > Security & Privacy > Security & Privacy > Anonymization tab.
Upon first time access to the Anonymization tab, an initial password must be defined which can then be used to "unlock" the user privacy features. For details, see Defining an Anonymization Password.
In the Anonymization tab, the Privacy Officer can do the following:
-
Enable/disable anonymization. By default, anonymization is disabled for all users. See Enabling/Disabling Anonymization.
-
Change the initial anonymization password. See Defining an Anonymization Password.
-
Define the default period of time that a user's personal details can be exposed following an exposure request. See Defining the Default Exposure Period.
-
Specify email addresses for Privacy Officers so that they can receive notifications about exposure requests. See Defining Email Notification Recipients for Exposure Requests.
-
Specify users or groups of users whose personal details will not be anonymized. See Excluding Users From Being Anonymized.
-
Specify Web Console users who can bypass anonymization. See Permitting Users to Bypass Anonymization.
