Version 7.17.0

This document provides information about new features, issues that were discovered and fixed since the previous release, and any limitations of the release. It is important that you read this document before you install and configure this version.

New Features and Enhancements

Enhanced Role-Based Access Controls

Access permissions for specific user roles in the Web Console have been fine-tuned:

  • Config-Only Admin role now has access to Configuration > Service Settings and Configuration > System Settings

  • Alert Analyst role now has access to Configuration > Saved Sessions, excluding the Settings tab within that screen.

  • Special Role A and Special Role B:

    • Granted access to Configuration > Saved Sessions (excluding the Settings tab).

    • Access to Insider Threat Intelligence has been removed.

Support for Windows Server 2025

Both Windows Agent and server components (Application Server, Web Console) are now supports deployment on Windows Server 2025 (64-bit only).

Node JS version and .NET Upgrade

Currently upgraded to:

  • Node .js 20.17.0

Resolved Issues

[Issue 1261]: Fixed an issue where the Agent incorrectly reported its status in the backend due to a bug in the Heartbeat mechanism.

[Issue 1246]: Fixed an issue where a Certificate could no be changed in the Image Security mechanism due to a limited field size in the database.

[Issue 1271]: Fixed an issue where the Status Details field was displayed incorrectly on the Endpoint screen within Configuration for Mac endpoints.

[Issue 1245]: Fixed an issue where the Define Exceptions section on the Recording Policy screen for Activity Replay was not visible aftervswitching to another Application Recording Policy and then returning to Activity Replay.

[Issue 1151]: Fixed an issue where an application installed on the endpoint was not displayed on the Software Inventory screen.

[Issue 1238]: Fixed an issue where inactive endpoints were incorrectly reported as active on the Web console and did not release the license back to the pool.

[Issue 1253]: Fixed an issue where the User Activity Monitoring by the Windows Agent stopped functioning when the automatic unregister feature was selectively applied to predefined endpoints based on manually defined criteria (Endpoint Name, Recording Policy, Endpoint Group).
