Version 7.16.0

This document provides information about new features, issues that were discovered and fixed since the previous release, and any limitations of the release. It is important that you read this document before you install and configure this version.

New Features and Enhancements

New Severity Level

A new severity level, Info is now available. This level provides administrators with an informational severity that does not affect the user risk score. The color assigned to this new severity is a black outline with a white fill color.

New Console User Roles

The following user roles have been added to address special requirements for some customers:

Special Role A 

This role is similar to the Admin Role. Like Admin users, a user with this role can make changes to the ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) configuration and is allowed to view all session recordings. Unlike Admin, a user with this role does not have access to:

  • Configuration > User Management

  • Configuration > Archive > Storage Management

  • Configuration > Settings

Special Role B

This role is similar to the Alert Analyst Role. In addition, a user with this role has access to:

  • Configuration > Endpoint Management > Recording Policies

Updated Support

  • . NET upgraded to .NET 8.05 from .NET 6.x. This is the first version with .NET 8.x.

    .NET 6 will be end of life (EOD) in November 2024.

  • Node .js upgraded to version 20.13.1

Longer MIP Tenant Identifier Name Supported

Tenant Identifier Name has been modified to support 50 characters instead of 12. (Related to Issue 1087.)

Debugging Support on New QRadar Connector

The ability to enable/disable debugging was added to the new QRadar connector. (Related to Issue 1098.)

[Issues 1020, 1054]: Fixed a Splunk login issue in the Color Policies when GroupId is 0.

[Issue 294]: Fixed an issue where the name of an endpoint appears in the Endpoint column but could not filter by Endpoint Name.

[Issue 1105]: Fixed an issue with the destination text when upload alert was triggered for Microsoft Edge download.

[Issues 245, 1108]: Fixed an issue where an Uninstall Error displayed due to an empty Application pool in the Web Console installation.

[Issue 1114]: Fixed an issue where default schema was HTTP by changing the default schema to HTTPs in the control API and endpoint API.

[Issue 1111]: Fixed an issue where AD username did not exist in the Active Directory.

[Issue 1110]: Fixed an issue where stored procedure SpUpdFileSystemStorageSettings could not be found.

[Issue 1109]: Fixed an issue in Website Catalog trace log settings by changing the default level value to 3.

[Issue 1106]: Fixed an issue where unauthorized user message was received when scheduled reports were sent by email.

[Issue 1099]: Fixed an issue were Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_FileMonitoringAction_SrvUsr'.

[Issue 1085]: Fixed an issue in upgrade failure when Full Text Search (FTS)  is either not installed or not turned on.

[Issue 1054]: Fixed an issue in Mac Agents where a warning notification issue appeared in multiple screens.

[Issue 1091]: Fixed an issue ("Invalid column name "SrvID") where delete a record from database by monitoring action failed.
