User Data Cleanup
User Data Cleanup lets you delete all collected data of a specific user. This feature provides increased privacy for users, meeting GDPR "the right to be forgotten" requirements.
Data in the following repositories for the selected user is deleted:

Activity tables
-
Alert tables (triggered alerts - not Alert Rules)

Screenshots
-
User Risk Dashboard
-
User Activity Profile
-
Archive
-
Saved Sessions
The deletion occurs offline asynchronously. By default it is set to 9:00 PM. To change the default time, contact Proofpoint Support.
Only Admin, Config Admin, Settings Admin roles are allowed to delete the collected data.
Setting Up User Data Cleanup

Navigate to Configuration > User Management >User Data Cleanup.

From the Login (user name) drop down, select the user whose data you want to delete.

Click Submit Cleanup Request.

When prompted Add the request.

You can review the request in the Cleanup Requests Status table.

If you want to to clear cleanup requests that are no longer in progress from the screen and see only requests in progress. Click Clear Completed/Failed and any completed or failed deletions are removed from the display.
Cleanup requests that are still in progress can be aborted by clicking Abort.
Once requested, you can see the status, which is one of the following:

In Progress: Displays the moment the request was submitted until changing to one of the other statuses below

Failed: Displays when the data of the user could not be removed from any of the repositories in which user data was found

Partially Completed: Displays when user data was removed successfully only from part of the repositories in which this user was found

Fully Completed: Displays when user data was removed successfully from all repositories in which this user was found
