Enabling Secondary Identification for Linux/Unix Policies

In the ITM On-Prem Web Console, you can configure the recording policy settings that are required for user secondary identification on a Linux/Unix Agent. Before you can do this, you must enable secondary authentication for Linux/Unix policies in the Web Console.

To enable the secondary user authentication settings in the ITM On-Prem Web Console

  1. Locate the web.config file of the ITM On-Prem Web Console located under:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ObserveIT\Web\ObserveIT.

  2. In the web.config file, add the following line under the <appSettings> section:
    <add key ="EnabledUnixSecondaryAuth" value="true"/>.

  3. Save the web.config file.

  4. Log off and then log back on to the Web Console.

The settings for user secondary authentication are available for configuration on Linux/Unix server policies.

For instructions on how to configure secondary identification policy settings, see Identification Policy.
