Active Directory and Non-Active Directory Users

The personal information displayed in the dashboard for risky users depends on whether or not the user has an account in an Active Directory domain.

The ObserveIT_Analytics database stores the user analytics data that appears in the User Risk Dashboard. In order to retrieve additional user information (such as photo, department, job title, email address, and so on), the machine on which the User Analytics service is installed must belong to an Active directory domain; otherwise, users can be identified only by their login name.

• For Active Directory users, where relevant, an image, login name, department, job title, email address, region, user name, and domain information will be displayed:
