Manually Upgrading the Web and Application Servers

Upgrading the ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) Web Server and Application Server components is the second step you should perform when upgrading ObserveIT.

The procedure for manually upgrading the ITM On-Prem Web Console and Application Server is basically the same as for installation, except that you select the Upgrade option. For details, refer to Custom Installation Steps.

The ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) Web Server and Application Server components upgrade must be done on the server on which the ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) Web components are installed, that is, the server on which IIS is installed, and where the Web and Application components are already installed.

The upgrade process should complete without any issues. However, because upgrading the ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) Database involves changes to the data, make sure you have a valid and working backup before proceeding with these steps.

For smaller installations, easiest method for upgrading ITM On-Prem (ObserveIT) is by using the "One Click" Installation. If required, you can perform a custom upgrade of each server-side component separately.
