Version 7.12.3

This document provides information about features, issues that were discovered and fixed since the previous release, and any limitations of the release. It is important that you read this document before you install and configure this version.

Support for agent-server communication via static proxy

Agent-server communication via static IP proxy is now supported. When enabled, all communication between the Agent and the server is via the proxy server.

This feature is currently available using silent installation. (GUI support will be added in future versions).

For Windows:

PROXY_DEFAULT_CREDENTIALS are supported for Disable (0) only.

In version 7.12.3, when PROXY_DEFAULT_CREDENTIALS=0, PROXY_DOMAIN and PROXY_USERNAME are required.

In ObserveIT.AgentInstall.cmd and WinAgentUpdater64bit.cmd, the following parameters have been added:

  • PROXY_ENABLE=1

  • PROXY_HOSTNAME=""

  • PROXY_PORT=""

  • PROXY_DEFAULT_CREDENTIALS= 0

    • PROXY_DOMAIN=""

    • PROXY_USERNAME=""

    • PROXY_PASSWORD=""

Limitations:

  • Installation with proxy configuration is not supported via GUI (supported only using Command line)

  • Proxy configuration using default credentials is not supported (only manual configuration of user/password)

  • Mac OS installation with proxy is not supported

Support for Windows 11

From this version, Windows 11 is supported.

Resolved Issues

  • [Issue 549]: In-memory clean up table process was improved.
  • [Issue 548]: Importing of ITL zip files failure was resolved.
  • [Issue 533]: Timestamp issue when the endpoints in the server side are in different time zone was resolved within the exported CEF.
  • [Issue 509]: Performance issue in the Diary page when opening the Endpoint or User dropdowns was resolved.
  • [Issue 562]: The issue of detection of printing on Mac on Japanese localized endpoints was resolved.
  • [Issue 560]: The issue of detection of printing for Adobe Acrobat was resolved.
  • [Issue 496]: Number of errors displayed on the Admin Dashboard widget (upper-left) was fixed to reflect the actual number.
  • [Issue 572]: An issue with the growing size of server logs was resolved.
  • [Issue 540]: A slowness issue during login to the Web Console in an Anonymized environment was resolved.
