Bulk Lists
Use bulk lists to create lists for domains in Email Monitoring Policies and URLs and file extensions in File Activity Monitoring Policies.
Using Bulk Edit
The Bulk Edit feature lets you manage lists. When you use the bulk edit feature, any previously created lists are replaced with the most current list.
The * wild card can be used when creating a list, here is what you can do:
-
At the beginning of a value, for example *test.com: Any file that ends with "test.com", so 1test.com, 2test.com, mytest.com are all included.
-
At the end of a value, for example test.*: Any file that starts with "test.", so test.com, test.doc, test.exe are all included.
-
At the beginning and the end of a value, for example, *test.*: Any file that contains "test.", so 1test.com, 2test.com, 1test.doc are all included.
You can't use wild cards in the middle of a value so "test*file" would be invalid.
-
In the File Monitoring Policies page, in the relevant section, click Bulk Edit.
The Bulk Edit screen displays.
-
Enter the URLs/file extensions, one entry per line.
You can copy and paste values from an already existing list, such as a CSV file.
Alternatively, you can manually enter the values.
-
Click Save.
The list of URLs or file extensions is automatically updated.
